"The Life of Lord Strathcona and Mount Royal" This vintage book measures 9 inches tall, six inches from binding to edge, and is two inches wide. Biography of Donald a Smith (1829 to 1914)Canadian Parlimantarian and Governor of Hudsons Bay Co. (1889 to 1914) in two volumes. This two volume book set has a wonderful marbleized inside pages. Author Beckles Willson Author of the Great Fur company and the Life and Letters of James Wolfe. Published in Boston and New York by the Houghton Mifflin Company The Riverside Press Cambridge 1915. Excellent condition with green leather and gold on the top of the pages.

Iron and Glass desk Inkwell, Antique desk Inkwell, Antique Glass Inkwell, This "Antique Iron and Glass Inkwell" measures 4 and one quarter inches wide at the pen rack and is 6 inches tall. The tops of the pen rack are very unusual with cast horse heads. Excellent original condition with a pewter lift top. One small minor flake on the bottom on the inkwell which is not easy to see.

Antique Nautical Camphor Wood Lap Roll Top Desk. This antique Maritime Lap Desk has original brass hardware and a monogrammed brass plate on top. This antique lap desk measures 18 inches wide is 14 and one quarter inches deep and measures 8 and one quarter inches high at the highest point. The actual felt covered desk top measures 16 and one quarter inches wide and is 14 inches deep. The drawer of this antique lap roll top desk measures 15 and one quarter inches wide inside and is 1 and one quarter inches high. The drawer extends outward, 6 and three quarter inches. The drawer has a key which locks it, and when pulled open, unrolls the roll top to expose a storage box which lifts up and locks in place with a wooden locking system. English Regency slant front desk with satin wood inlay. This period English Regency spade foot desk dates from 1820 and is in excellent original condition.This rare antique English desk has a wonderful fitted interior with drawers and pull outs,each with satinwood inlay. The desk measures 30 inches wide by 16 and one half inches deep and 39 and one half inches high. It is 28 and one half inches to the writing surface. The lid is 14 inches high and when lowered it creates a total writing surface of 21 inches deep. The two bottom drawers each measure 11 and three quarter inches by 3 and one quarter inches.The superb inlay is the work of a master craftsman.

Hand made sterling silver letter opener by Leonore Doskow,"Leonore Doskow" This solid sterling silver letter opener is monogrammed SG and measures 11 and three quarters inches long by 7 eighths inches wide and weighs 88 grams.She and her husband owned and operated Leonore Doskow, Inc., a jewelry company selling to upscale stores around the country, from 1935 until the 1980s, when her son and his wife took over. It is headquartered in Montrose NY and still produces Doskow's original designs.In 1932, she won a scholarship to study art history at the Sorbonne for a summer. When she returned, she opened a shop on 17th Street in Center City, Philadelphia. Monogrammed pieces were one of her favorites. Her work is quite collected and constantly raising in value.
